My name is Emmy Utter, and I am pursuing a national credential (CPDT-KA) from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. I am also on track to becoming a Pat Miller Certified Trainer (PMCT). I am dedicated to enriching dogs and teaching owners how to better understand their pets. We achieve this together with patience, a playful perspective, and a commitment to methods based in science. I am a recent graduate from Pat Miller's Dog Training Academy in Basic Manners and Behavior Modification. I will apply my knowledge of R+ techniques and dog body language to transform the way that you communicate with your dog.
Using consistent cues and step-by-step behavior modification techniques, I can help you and your fur family relax with a stronger connection. Ranging from puppies to old pups, I will take the frustration out of dog training and set you and your dog up for success!

The bond between dog and human is strong and filled with trust. The sweet pittie pictured is my girl, Miss Honey Biscuit. I rescued her in 2021 and treat every moment as an opportunity to grow as a team. She has seen me cross over from outdated training practices to the scientifically-proven, force-free, fear-free methods. She is a much happier dog now that we are focused on enrichment instead of obedience.
"Before working with Emmy, my pup, Axel, pulled on walks, he was reactive and it was nearly impossible to get him to listen. Emmy has worked with my pup over the past couple weeks and I have since seen a tremendous change in Axel's behavior. I even get compliments on how well-trained he is! She has taught me how to properly walk him, the best ways to correct his reactive behaviors and countless other things. I am so grateful for all of the hours Emmy has put into helping me with Axel. If you’re looking for a patient, kind, and effective trainer, then I strongly recommend Crazy Canine Coaching!"
